LAUSD Grab and Go sites
OPEN 3/18/20
Grab and Go Site will be providing meal distribution. Starting March 18, between 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m., families can stop by one of our sites and pick up two meals daily. District staff, in collaboration with the Red Cross, will be on site to support the distribution of the meals. All of our families are welcome to stop by and pick up 2 meals per child, as needed, during the District-wide closure.
Local District Northeast Grab and Go Centers are :
Maclay MS, Byrd MS, East Valley HS, Fulton College Prep, Panorama HS, Romer MS,
San Fernando HS, Van Nuys HS, and Verdugo Hills HS

Los Angeles Unified, PBS SoCal | KCET, and KLCS-TV have partnered to provide free supplemental educational resources to help your family support learning during the school closures. This multi-platform initiative includes Pre-K–12 educational programming and robust online resources through the online platform PBS LearningMedia. The resources are free and designed to be used by public schools throughout California to help students continue learning at home.

The mission of Broadous Elementary is to create an environment where children will develop optimum social, emotional, and academic growth in an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation.
Principal's message (Mensaje de Nuestra directora)
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! Broadous has opened with 475 happy, interesting, and inquisitive students and we couldn’t be more delighted! You are sure to come across a group of inquiring minds in our STEAM/Makers’ Lab, where students will be busy experimenting and creating through Science and Engineering, our Robotics Lab, where technology and coding is being put to use, and in our ARTS Center, where every child in TK-5 will continue to have classes in theatre, dance, art, and music. Students in grades 3-5 will be given the opportunity, once again, to participate in our school orchestra; and after school we will be offering classes in theatre, engineering, media, and coding.
Please make sure you are sending your children to school every single day and on time. Our aim is to make sure each child reaches a 96% attendance rate, or greater. That means missing no more than seven day for the entire year.
My door is always open and I look forward to working with you, your children, and their teachers, to create a wonderfully positive school year. See you at our first Coffee with the Principal at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 22nd!

¡Bienvenido al año escolar 2019-2020! Broadous ha abierto con 475 estudiantes felices, interesantes y curiosos, ¡y no podríamos estar más encantados! Seguramente se encontrará con un grupo de mentes inquisitivas en nuestro STEAM / Laboratorio de “Makers”, donde los estudiantes estarán ocupados experimentando y creando a través de Ciencia e Ingeniería, nuestro Laboratorio de Robótica, donde la tecnología y la codificación se están utilizando, y en nuestro Centro de ARTES, donde cada niño en TK-5 continuará teniendo clases de teatro, danza, arte y música. Los estudiantes en los grados 3-5 tendrán la oportunidad, una vez más, de participar en la orquesta de nuestra escuela; y después de la escuela estaremos ofreciendo clases de teatro, ingeniería, medios y codificación.
Asegúrese de enviar a sus hijos a la escuela todos los días y a tiempo. Nuestro objetivo es asegurarnos de que cada niño alcance una tasa de asistencia del 96% o más. Eso significa no perder más de siete días durante todo el año.
